Mogla bih da počnem svoje izlaganje podsećajući na ključnu ulogu moje profesije (babica) u pružanju profesionalne i lične podrške u svim fazama promena i tranzicije ciklusa žena i porodica (i društva), ali bi to zvučalo bezlično i udaljeno od onoga kako se osećam.
Tokom godina sam pokušavala da oblikujem profesiju tako što sam sve više težila da postanem „sigurna luka“ u koju možeš pristati.
U svom svakodnevnom životu pokušavam da ovo donesem sa profesionalizmom i prisustvom, gde možete da se usidrite i gde možete da stanete da sagledate situaciju, da osluškujete sebe, da povratite energiju, da naučite nova iskustva, da potražite rešenje za problem, da obradite iskustvo, da se brinete o telu i duši, da ponovo stavite sebe u centar sopstvenog iskustva.

I could start my presentation by recalling the key role of my profession (midwifery) in providing professional and personal support in all stages of change and transition of the cycle of women and families (and society), but that would sound impersonal and distant from how I feel.
Over the years I have tried to shape the profession by striving more and more to become a "safe harbor" where you can agree.
In my daily life I try to bring this with professionalism and presence, where you can anchor and where you can stop to look at the situation, to listen to yourself, to recover energy, to learn new experiences, to look for a solution to a problem, to process an experience, to take care of body and soul, to put yourself again in the center of your own experience.
A port where you can rediscover your resources and skills and then face the sea again, be it calm or stormy.

Urbana Mama specializes in preparing women for childbirth through holistic practices such as prenatal yoga, psychophysical preparation, and hypnobirthing.
